Why use the Empathy Map?
The empathy map is a tool developed by visual thinking company XPLANE. It can be used to profile your customer segments and better understand their world, pains and gains. Works great with personas & value proposition design.
We decided to remix and adapt the work by XPLANE. Our objective was to make it easier to use the tool side-by-side with tools that work well with the empathy map. The pains & gains are relocated to the right. this frees up space for the actual empathy map and provides the opportunity to emphasize that what someone says or does is the behavior part of the puzzle.
